MDS offers various molecular tests for abalone, oyster and scallop health, recommended by the OIE, as well as testing for Koi and other fish species.

MDS is authorized to test for Koi Herpes Virus. In order to comply with the Animal Diseases Act 1984 (Act 35 of 1984), the state veterinarian is notified of all testing of controlled or notifiable diseases.
